Summer is here! It is important to me that my kids are reading over the summer months. One of my three children loves to read. So what can I do to facilitate reading for the other two? How can I make it easy and fun, and create some form of incentive to get my non-book loving children just as excited? Well, that is my mission this week. Here are the amazing ideas I've find online that I'm using to come up with a system that works in our home.
From creating the space, collecting the books, logging and rewarding... perhaps even throwing a book party? Lots of great ideas here! I hope you find some inspiration too!

ReplyDeleteI just wanted to let you know that we featured your program over on our blog: http://www.thechirpingmoms.com/2012/06/for-kids-thursday-super-summer-list.html
ReplyDeleteThanks again for the fantastic program!!!
This is a wonderful list. I had almost pinned all of them and then decided to pin to your blog.
ReplyDeleteThere is a fantastic, free site called wegivebooks.org that kids can read books from online (ipad will work). For every book a child reads the org donates a book to a child in a third world country. There are wonderful, quality books on here. Give it a try!
