For the Kids Friday #150

Welcome to the Party!

It's that time again!!  We are wrapping up 3 short weeks of class only to be off for another 2 weeks for the Chinese New Year.  We had a Temple Fair celebration at our school this week, which was so much fun!  We had traditional Chinese dancers, drummers, and lots of fun activities celebrating Chinese culture.  Rather than sharing features this week, I wanted to share some pictures from our event for those of you who are interested to see what we're doing in China for the Spring Festival.

See more Videos & Pictures HERE.

Chinese Calligraphy, Making Jiaozi, Paper Cutting

You can also learn a little about the Chinese Red Envelopes, and instructions on how to make your own, HERE.

And curious to see what it's like here on Chinese New Year's Eve?  This is our view from our 24th floor apartment.

Thanks so much for being here to share with us!  Grab some great ideas while you are here, and be sure to stop by again next week!  I can't wait to see what you have in store for us.  Hope you all have a wonderful weekend!!

Grab my For the Kids Fridays Button and place it somewhere on your blog.  Be sure to link back to me!  Now go ahead and link up all of your kid-friendly fun!  Anything done with the kids, for the kids, or by the kids... show off what makes you a Super Mom!

  3. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful pictures. How neat to be surrounded by such an amazing culture. My daughter's Elementary School has a Chinese Immersion Program and it always amazes me to walk by the little Kindergarten and First Grade classrooms and hear the teachers speaking only in Chinese to them. Children are such quick learners.
