Expats in China

Our family of five has set out on an amazing adventure.  My husband is Canadian.  I am American, and also became a Canadian Citizen before our children were born.  Two of our children were born in Canada before we moved back to the US, where we had our third child.  And here we are, now living in China, where we have been for more than a year, and will be for at least two more.  I will be sharing bits of our experiences as expats in China from time to time.  I hope that this will help you to understand China and the Chinese Culture, show you what life is like for an expat family (with children), and perhaps help prepare some of you who may plan to become expats too.

I'm so happy to share with you!  Please, if there is anything you would like to know about living in China or our experiences, please do not hesitate to e-mail me!  I'd love to hear from you.

Here are the posts I have shared so far... More to come soon!

  1. I have read all of your expat posts and I just really want to say thanks for taking the time to write about your experiences. There is a good possiblity that we will be taking our family of six to live in Shanghai for several years and reading about your adventures and seeing your pictures has helped to give me hope that we can make it work! I look forward to reading more!

  2. Thanks for taking the time to share this information. There's a possibility that our family may be moving to Nanjing and hearing about other family's expat experiences is so helpful.
